Bass drums are notoriously difficult to tune because of their low pitch. Therefore, many drummers prefer to accept a little help in the form of muffled drumheads, or even placing pillows or blankets inside the drum.
Gibraltar has a better solution. These SC-BF felt strip mufflers can be placed inside your bass drum, where you can move them around and place them in different ways to muffle and shape the sound of your bass drum. There are two strips in this set, and you can decide whether to use them both. Nothing beats a properly tuned drum, but a little help never hurt anyone!

Bevalt uitstekend! Dempt het voorvel, maar niet teveel. Toon blijft overeind. Wmb beter dan een vel met ingebouwde ring. Super!

super demplinten ik heb ze in mijn bassdrum aan bijde kanten en het scheelt een hele hoop (bass 26" 16") hij trilde eerst vreselijk na maar nu niet meer prima aankoop!!

lekker oldskool maar nog altijd even effectief. leuk en makkelijk om mee te experimenteren op welke trommel dan ook en ook zo weer te verwijderen als het niet is wat het zou moeten zijn...

Twee vilten linten, mooi wit. Het stelt op zich niet veel voor, maar het is flexibeler in gebruik dan dempingen etc. Door de positie (min of meer in of uit het midden) en de spanning te variëren heb je veel invloed op de demping. Simpel en efficiënt. NB, je kunt ze ook onder je (floor) toms gebruiken, als je vindt dat die te resonant zijn. Eleganter dan geplakt WC-papier. Zelf heb ik er onder mijn vrij laag gestemde 14 en 16" FT zitten, de "ring" is er nu uit, zonder dat ik veel volume en toon verlies.

Werkt net zo goed als vellen met ingebouwde dempringen. Bovendien is dit een goedkopere en veelzijdigere oplossing dan bijvoorbeeld een Remo Powerstroke 3.
