General
The Vic Firth BD8 Grandioso is a bass drum mallet with two faces. If you play it softly, you get a rich, warm sound that is nicely present in the background. If you play loud, however, expect a full, very present sound that will overwhelm the audience. This is due to the extra weight this stick has.
