Wear your hard hat when your working with this bass top as you never know when the ceiling's going to give. The Fender Super Bassman is a tube-powered bass amplifier top. The Bassman provides a staggering 300 watts of tube power, more than enough for even the biggest stages. Fender even say it is one of the most powerful bass amplifiers they have ever built.

You'll recognise top Fender quality and vintage '70s blackface-styling at first glance. Beneath its vintage veneer, it is of course equipped with modern components and switches to amplify the sound of your bass as purely as possible. You can choose to use the Vintage or the Overdrive channel. The Vintage channel offers a full, warm Fender sound and those who like it rough can go for the Overdrive setup that displays a fair amount of response and aggression.

Advanced strength

Even though tube technology is used for a long time now, Fender have modernised the Super Bassman's design as much as possible. On the back, this amp top features the Fender Automatic Bias system that carefully monitors the state of the power tubes and indicates when it is time to service or replace them. The speaker output has a mute switch allowing a clean signal to go straight from the preamp (via XLR) to the mixer. The impedance can be set to 2, 4 and 8 ohms. This top weighs 29.5 kilogrammes but sounds much heavier than that. The Fender Super Bassman will let you be really loud.
