Just like every other 58R Series model to come out of the Italian workshop, the fresh Markbass Little Mark Vintage 1000 bass amp head puts every essential control element and connection port on the front panel. Around the back, all you'll find is a set of speaker outputs and a power input. This keeps things easy, practical and, above all, convenient. The housing has also been freshly designed to reduce the weight right down to just 3 kilos, completing a potent yet gig-friendly stage monster and, just like the previous edition, the Little Mark Vintage also comes with a mass of sound-sculpting controls that can be tweaked to swing the output from modern to vintage at will.

A warm and overtone-rich core sound is guaranteed by a single ECC83 preamp valve, while the powerful MPT (Mark Proprietary Technology) power amp section shovels out an impressive 1,000 Watts which is supported by a serious amount of headroom, plenty of dynamics and an outstanding level of tightness. No matter your technique and playing style, this amp head has been 100% optimised to retain the natural sound of your bass while boosting the playability and, depending on your very particular tastes, the all-new on-board limiter can be dialled up to give the sound a more modern edge or toned back down for some classic and more traditional distorted flavour.

Every Need Met

The four-band EQ section also features some new settings, guaranteeing a well balanced bass sound that easily punches through the band mix. The three-way switch can be toggled between an accurate flat sound, scooped mids with reinforced basses and trebles, or a more throwback EQ with scooped trebles. The balanced DI output has also been optimised to deliver pure, full and linear sound across all registers and, even though Markbass DI circuits were already some of the best, the Little Mark Vintage 1000 boasts a higher performance transformer that improves performance without adding any colour or distortion. Add on the mute switch, the footswitchable EQ section (footswitch not included) plus the DI control and your every need is fully met.
