The Bugera BXD12A is a 12-inch bass guitar amplifier combo with a power output of 1000 watts. It's equipped with a 12-inch Turbosound woofer with an aluminium cone and delivers a powerful, detailed, rich and lively sound. External effects can be connected via the FX loop and the signal can be sent directly to a mixer using the balanced DI output. The sound can be adjusted using the built-in controls for tone and dynamics. It's an ideal amp combo for recordings and small gigs.

Construction of the BXD12A

The Bugera BXD12A is relatively light in weight but still produces a big sound. In part, this is down to the powerful class D power amp, which is highly efficient. This means that heavy-duty power adapters and cooling components are not required. The high-quality 12-inch speaker with an aluminium cone ensures a great sound with a punchy attack. The BXD12A has a MOSFET preamp with a passive Gyrator EQ circuit that'll almost convince you that you are playing through a real tube amp. It responds in pretty much the same way as a tube amp and its properties are also similar thanks to the preamp transistor.

Tone controls and dynamics

As already stated, the sound of this 2-channel powerhouse can be adjusted using the extensive built-in controls for tone and dynamics. With the compressor control, which is based on classic studio equipment from the '70s, more sustain will be added while eliminating undesirable signal peaks. This combo also features DYNAMIZER technology (borrowed from Behringer) that ensures that every nuance of your playing is heard thanks to the parallel compressor.
