Bartolini 5-String BC Shape J Soapbar (BC5J-T), Bridge, Black

General

The Bartolini 5-String BC Shape J Soapbar (BC5J-T), Bridge, Black is designed for bassists who want to combine the legendary J-Bass character with the ease of use of a soapbar pickup. This 5-string pickup is intended for the bridge position and, with its dual inline split-coil design, delivers a full, warm sound with deep bass tones and pronounced low mid-range. The internal shielding keeps out unwanted noise such as hum and interference from lighting or studio equipment. Thanks to its passive design, the pickup will almost always fit into existing electronics, but it also performs exceptionally well with an active preamp. The carbon steel ceramic sheet magnets eliminate the problem of string separation, whilst the sealed housing counteracts microphony and contact noise – without suffering from unwanted noise when a string strikes the pickup.
