MXR M83 Bass Chorus Deluxe effect pedal for bass guitar

General

The Bass Chorus Deluxe is a pedal from MXR's Bass Innovations series. It produces an amazing chorus and flanger, withouth jeopardising the bass or punch of your sound. The pedal offers an arsenal of excellent functions, which you can minutely edit thanks to the many setting options. It can be used in mono or stereo mode, with the latter providing you with a very wide chorus sound. This fully analogue effect is housed in a rugged, emerald-green MXR housing.

Using the M-83 Bass Chorus Deluxe

Even though it is a chorus (and a great one at that), you can also use this device as a flanger. Additionally, it offers a practical X-Over mode, that reduces the effect's influence under 100 Hz. This allows you to play chords and melodies in the higher frequencies perfectly, while keeping the lower ones nicely tight and in tune. You can simply adjust the tone in many ways with the bass, treble, intensity, rate and width controls.

Mono and stereo

In addition to mono mode, you can also use the pedal in stereo mode, which gives your sound a marvellously wide chorus effect. The M83 Bass Chorus does this by sending the signal via a splitter cable to two separate amplifiers. This splitter cable will have to go from one 6.3mm TRS jack to two 6.3mm TS jack plugs.
