It's as if time stood still—the Hofner Limited Edition Tremaluxe Type 4 tremolo effect pedal sounds unbelievably retro. Hand-built in very limited quantities, this tremolo effect offers the famous sawtooths and square waves from the '60s. Originally, it was designed for use with the famous Hofner Beatle bass, but these gorgeous vintage stomp box sounds just as phenomenal with any other bass, especially a semi-acoustic model.

That this pedal was designed to be a great match for the Hofner violin bass is clear judging by the four teacup knobs that are also found on the more expensive model Beatle basses. The four knobs adjust the Wave, Shape, Speed and Depth parameters, making it very easy to create that classic '60s sound, as well as more modern interpretations. Finally, the gorgeous white Hofner Limited Edition Tremalux Type 4 pedal features a raised '60s style Hofner logo.

The German Hofner company will always have a certain connection to the Beatles—mostly because of Paul McCartney's love of the Hofner violin bass. Of course, Hofner is quite proud of this fact, and they've decided to celebrate it by releasing four handmade limited edition effects pedals for guitar and bass guitar: the Hofner Limited Edition Tremalux, Germanium Bass Fuzz, Sound Of The 60's Reverb and Time And Again Delay.
