Electro Harmonix Bass Soul Food overdrive

General

As a follow-up for the much-lauded Soul Food, Electro Harmonix have issued the Bass Soul Food. The overdrive pedal has been developed specifically for electric bass guitar and offers the same transparency and impressive headroom as the original Soul Food, but delivers an exceptional low-frequency response too. Additionally, EHX treat bass players to a -10 dB pad switch (to compensate for louder active basses) and a blend knob. Guitar players who want to emphasise the low end of their output may also benefit from the Bass Soul Food. The EHX overdrive pedal is supplied with a power adapter.

Bass Soul Food: controls

A drive knob allows you to set the level of overdrive you want for your bass. Choose a coloured clean boost, a powerful distortion, or anything in between. A treble knob determines the clarity of your sound, and a blend knob ensures that you don't have to sacrifice the definition of your bass guitar tone. Turn it all the way to the left for a dry signal (without drive and treble), or turn it all the way to the right for a full effect. A level knob controls the master volume and, last but certainly not least, a true/buffered bypass switch can be found inside the Bass Soul Food overdrive pedal.
