Drastic problems call for drastic measures. If you are mixing some of the bigger music, and your studio itself amplifies the bass, your studio is therefore acoustically out of tune. You can take measures with the Auralex MegaLENRD. These are hefty blocks that you can place in the corners of your room. The travelling around (and amplifying) of bass will thus be slowed down considerably. It is a serious investment, but in a bad studio you cannot mix with conviction. So bass traps like these are quite important!
