Morley PBA-92 Rex Brown Old Blue is based on a crucial stompbox in the Pantera bass guitarist's setup. The original pedal was known as the Pro Series II Wah in the 1990s, has since taken a permanent place on the pedalboard and this blue wah has never relinquished its place after that. The original can be heard in many of the well-known recordings of this legendary groove metal band from the US state of Texas. To provide contemporary upgrade during the tribute with Phil Anselmo, among others, Morley and Brown developed this updated version. As you might expect, this wah pedal is built like an indestructible tank of cold-rolled steel.

PBA-92 Rex Brown Old Blue: Reinventing the Steel

In this refreshed reissue of the 1992 revised version of this Wah Wah, you'll find a fine combination of both classic and modern technology from Morley. The original parts and circuitry of the first version are present, for instance, but the sweep of this wah pedal has been adapted from that of the Morley wahs that Rex Brown has a special place in his musical heart for. To keep it aggressive and nice and deep, this PBA-92 Old Blue has an innovative Switchless Activation and optical switches on board. For those moments to jump above it live, flip the Wah Level knob up to 15 dB for extra headroom. Because of all this, this Morley Rex Brown Wah is also resistant to distracting noise and electromagnetic interference.
