Powered by modern COB LED technology, the Ayra IntenZ CB040 is a powerful blinder with retro looks that offers adjustable dimming curves for halogen-style lighting. Here, a 40W COB RGBW LED with warm white combines with an opal dome and a traditional reflector, protected by an industrial grille to finish a formidable spot.

The Ayra CB040 and CB700

A CB700 version of the CB040 is also available and combines no less than seven CB040 lamps in one snowflake-shaped housing: the ultimate combination for a truly mesmerising light show. On the other hand, you might opt for a few single CB040s, since these can then be spread across a space or truss - either with or without the larger CB700 - and set up in stand-alone, DMX, master/slave, sound-controlled or automatic mode.

Dimmer Curves

Just like the CB700, the CB040 offers adjustable dimming curves. This includes a halogen-like dimming curve which, combined with the warm white and a solid lighting controller or DMX software, opens up hair-raising halogen-imitating blinder and chase effects. Not only that, even when set to provide coloured light, the IntenZ CB040 can actually dim like real halogen bulb.

Ik heb nu 8 van deze lampen in mijn bezit. Mooie effectlamp voor een klein bedrag. De lampen zijn klein, licht en maken geen geluid wanneer ze in werking zijn. Ze hebben een soort retro-look en geven een licht wat ik persoonlijk door de COB led en reflector er mooi uit vind zien.

De lamp heeft 40 watt en een brede bundel. Het geeft dus geen zichtbare bundel en de lichtopbrengst is beperkt, en het is daardoor niet geschikt voor bv. aanlichten van hoge muren of grote ruimtes, maar wel heel geschikt voor het aanlichten van bv. lage muren, kleine ruimtes of tenten, en eventueel als effectverlichting wat naast vullicht gebruikt kan worden, hoewel voor het laatste denk ik betere keuzes te vinden zijn (bv. Ayra compar serie).

Ik gebruik de lamp redelijk vaak om bv. bij een tentfeest aan een tentbuis te monteren hem een tentdoek te laten verlichten van boven naar beneden. Doordat de lamp zo licht is, wil dat makkelijk. De bouw is prima voor het bedrag van de lamp; ze lijken redelijk stevig, maar ik weet niet of ze het overleven wanneer bv. er iemand op gaat staan. Dat is in deze prijsklasse uiteraard ook niet te verwachten.

Ik bestuur de lamp meestal via DMX, wat zonder problemen werkt.

DIt is dus een van de nieuwste producten van Ayra. Het is een kwalitatief hoogwaardige retro lamp. De COB geeft mooie kleuren en de reflector verdeelt het licht mooi egaal. De lamp heeft een halogeen imitatiefunctie die redelijk werkt. Het licht dooft als een echte halogeen, maar licht direct op als een LED. Het is dus geen waardige vervanger voor een halogeen floodlight, maar het is zeker goedkoper. Ik gebruik ze via DMX in een DJ-setup, en denk dat ze daarvoor ook het best geschikt zijn.
