Playing the cajon is more popular than ever and you're never to young to start! Since most standard-sized cajons are a little too big and unmanageable for smaller hands and shorter limbs, Dutch percussion instrument builders El Cajon Percusion offer up the slightly shrunken down ECP50 cajon. Just like a regular cajon, the ECP50 is 30cm deep and wide, but the standard height of 50cm has been shaved down to 40cm to offer children a more comfortable and stable instrument, and while smaller cajons designed for children tend to lose out on fullness of sound and can sometimes cut corners on construction, that's not the case here. The MDF sound-box and meranti playing surface of this cajon have been built and finished by hand to ensure a naturally big cajon sound, and this edition comes painted black.
