General

The Schlagwerk CC205S is a cajinto, a kind of small cajon that you hold between your legs or place on a stand and play on the top. This one has a sound box made of seven layers of alder and a pickguard made of Skinwood, which has been patented by Schlagwerk. This type of wood provides a warm sound and good playing comfort, which of course comes in very handy on an instrument you play mainly with your hands. For more sound variation, the CC205S can also be played with brushes. In this instrument, the high and middle frequencies come out especially well, resulting in a clear string sound with well-controlled overtones. This makes the CC205S an excellent addition to any percussion set.
