General
De Stagg VN 1/2 viool is er speciaal voor jonge kinderen van ongeveer acht jaar oud en een armlengte van zo'n 53 cm. Die armlengte meet u overigens van het midden van de handpalm tot aan de nek, onder de kaak. De maat 1/2 houdt overigens niet in dat het instrument de helft zo groot is als een normale (4/4) viool. Het is een voordelig geprijsde viool die qua bouw zeer keurig is. De top is van sparrenhout gemaakt, met esdoorn zijkanten, achterkant, hals en brug. Het geheel is een complete set, u krijgt er namelijk ook een softcase en een strijkstok bij. Deze Stagg is een prima viool voor wie net komt kijken, en voor iedereen die graag experimenteert met nieuwe instrumenten zonder dat er een grote investering moet worden gedaan.

Wij gebruiken verschillende strijkstokken om percussie-effecten te creëren op vibrafoon- en marimbalatten. De hars zorgt ervoor dat er makkelijk geluid ontstaat.
Er blijft wel wat residue hangen op de latten zelf, maar met een simpele veeg is het weg.
