General

Voor aankomende Jaap van Zwedens of Janine Jansens is een Stradivarius waarschijnlijk te hoog gegrepen. Maar niet getreurd: dankzij Stagg kunnen (jonge) ambitieuze violisten aan de studie. Deze Stagg VN-3/4 is een viool met een 3/4-formaat. Dit betekent dat de kleinere, jongere violist toch moeiteloos en ergonomisch verantwoord kan strijken. Waar grepen op een 4/4-viool te groot zijn voor kinderhanden, is de kans groot dat ze wel haalbaar zijn op dit 3/4-model van Stagg.

Stagg VN-3/4: constructie

Ondanks de scherpe prijs is dit geen speelgoedinstrument: vaardige handen maken deze studieviool uit goed hout. Het bovenblad is van massief sparrenhout, de zij- en achterkant zijn van massief esdoornhout. Dankzij deze materialen ontstaat een fraaie klank. Het staartstuk is van metaal en zwart afgewerkt. De toets is ook zwart van kleur en van hardhout. De Stagg VN-3/4 wordt verrassend compleet geleverd: u ontvangt de viool in een koffer, compleet met strijkstok en hars.

Ik heb diverse snaar instrumenten, en heb deze allemaal met plezier kunnen stemmen, zowel met bij geleverde klik-on sensor, met de ingebouwde microfoon en de line-verbinding, ook had ik een stemvork gebruikt om te zien of dat de uitlening waar is, en dat is het, m.a.w., ik ben er zeer tevreden mee!,

Goede hars.
Wij gebruiken verschillende strijkstokken om percussie-effecten te creëren op vibrafoon- en marimbalatten. De hars zorgt ervoor dat er makkelijk geluid ontstaat.

Er blijft wel wat residue hangen op de latten zelf, maar met een simpele veeg is het weg.
