You might wonder why this 16" Fazley Timber China features a dark finish. That's because, next to the fact that it simply looks cool, the dark coating on this cymbal helps to keep those unwanted overtones under control. Meanwhile, the 'striping' that's been added are in fact grooves, which in turn helps to pull a quite few more high-end frequencies out of the cymbal.
The Fazley Timber China 16-inch
The unique sound the Fazley Timber China offers is perfect for heavier, darker and more industrial styles, including various sub-genres of metal and certain electronic styles. Hand-hammered and crafted using B20 bronze, this china cymbal packs medium sustain and a rather 'earthy' sound.

Great cymbal for an extra dimension of crash sound to the kit. Have been using it as a main crash as I like the sound so much. Seems really good quality at a great value and has a nice aesthetic. Very happy with it. Sound is quite dark, somewhat brittle resonance and a bit ominous or other worldly. Definitely a good effect cymbal.
