The CX12 is unmistakably a Hohner creation. The maker's designs are not only revolutionary, but award-winning (1992 German Industry Design Award). What's special about the CX12, is that this chromatic harmonica is made out of a single piece of ABS. That means the mouthpiece is integrated for a warm, rounded sound and maximum playing comfort, and the whole thing is easier to clean. In addition, the design ensures the four main components are easy to disassemble and put together again after cleaning and maintenance. Since this model Hohner CX-12 is tuned to C, it's perfect for playing music in the key of G.
For well over a century, Hohner have been known as one of the best, if not the best, harmonica makers. That's simply because - regardless of model or series - each harmonica is built to guarantee great sound so that every musician is treated to a dose of music-based love every time they pick their instrument up to play a tune.
The CX-12 is characterised by its special and much-lauded design. The housing, so both the comb and the mouthpiece, are completely made of ergonomic and durable, visually pleasing plastic. The black finish here is rather uncommon but highly popular nonetheless, and the zig-zag slide can be used to add great effects by letting you play around with underlying notes. Finally, this chromatic harmonica is completely airtight and musician-friendly; the perfect instrument to begin or boost any music career!
