General

For playing the Eb clarinet, the reed is very important, because it is at the mouthpiece that the shaping of the sound begins. As a beginner, it is best to use a low-strength reed for this, such as this Vandoren with strength 1.5. Because it is less rigid, you can make it vibrate more easily, so you will soon have a full, clear sound. The Traditional series also has an excellent response in all registers, so even high notes can be turned on pianissimo. This blue box contains 10 straws, which are also individually airtight packed to preserve freshness until the time of use.
