General

Feast your eyes and ears on the beautiful Yamaha NTX700C-BS electro-acoustic classical guitar. This instrument features a combination that you don't come across frequently, but Yamaha has refined the concept. This NTX has something for electric, western and classical guitarists alike, with its slim body, practical cutaway, and neck binding at the fourteenth fret. With a Brown Sunburst finish, it also features a beautiful, classic look. Because of its interesting design, this guitar is quite versatile and will work well with many different genres, from latin and jazz to pop and rock. The built-in electronics include two contact pickups that make the typical feedback problems that you get with external microphones a thing of the past; just plug it in and enjoy the amplified sound of this classical/western guitar's character.

System61: amplification and authenticity

Amplifying a classical (Spanish) guitar is a delicate task. Often, the warm character is ruined due to a chilly output, ramshackle pickups or poorly placed microphones. You don't have to worry about that with the NTX700C though, because the System 61 preamplifier provides a transparent, dynamic output. Two top-mounted ART contact pickups (one for bass and one for trebles) guarantee a direct reproduction of the guitar's natural sound. The System61 module consists of a 3-band EQ, separate tone control for bass and treble (the two piezos), a tuner with display and, of course, a volume knob.

For the Cedar lover

Every guitarist has a preference when it comes to wood types, as each wood type produces a different kind of sound. The NTX700C features a solid cedar top, which is very warm and rich when compared to spruce, for example, and provides excellent response. The sides and back are made of nato, which is often referred to as "eastern mahogany," for its looks similar to mahogany. Nato is known for adding warmth to the total sound without taking away from the high tones. Thanks to the ARE (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) technology, this wood already has the mature sound that it would typically get after having been played for a few years.
