Manuel Rodriguez Nature C3 Ebony classical guitar

General

The C3 Ebony's solid cedar top is mostly responsible for the full, warm sound of this classical Spanish guitar from the Nature by MR series by Manuel Rodriguez. It's made of two kinds of wood - African mahogany for the neck and Indian rosewood for the fretboard, bridge, and bindings on the front and back of the body. Part of this wood has also been used as a decorative element on the front of the headstock. To enhance resonance, the string nut and bridge saddle have been made of cow bone.

Coromandel-looking back

The sides and back of this unique guitar look just like striped ebony. This so-called coromandel wood look has been popular for decades for its gorgeous wood grain patterns, but is now virtually priceless. By pressing wood chips together in a certain way, the luthiers at Manuel Rodriguez factory have managed to create a broad grain pattern very similar to this rare wood. This not only looks beautiful, but it saves this special tree as well! What's more, the pressed wood adds a delicious extra dimension to the sound of this classical guitar.
