Voor eenieder die ook met een gesprongen D-snaar te maken krijgt de volgende tip. Ik heb de volgende losse D-snaar voor klassieke gitaar gekocht, ook met ball end en qua dikte en materiaalgebruik vergelijkbaar met het Martin setje: "Ernie Ball 1524 Gold Plated Bal-Eind Losse Snaar D4 (SS8751)" voor 2,50 euro. Helaas niet bij Bax besteld (wel eerst gezocht bij Bax), zal de concullega van Bax hier niet noemen maar als je zoekt op internet moet je hem wel kunnen vinden. Je kunt wel zien dat het een iets andere snaar is (als je het weet) maar de klank past erg bij het Martin setje vind ik, dus een oplossing voor mij, daar ik twee setjes heb allebei zonder D-snaar. Dit setje nogmaals bestellen doe ik niet vanwege het D-snaar probleem maar wat ik al heb kan ik zo blijven gebruiken.

In januari sprong al de D-snaar, binnen 30 dagen, en Bax shop kon en wou gelukkig een nieuw setje snaren opsturen. Toen heb ik alleen de D-snaar gebruikt, dus de andere snaren zijn nog van het eerste setje.
Nu, na een aantal maanden, is weer de D-snaar gesprongen! Dus het lijkt erop dat dit de zwakste schakel van het setje is, of ik heb gewoon pech.

Helaas sprong de D snaar na vier weken spontaan kapot, terwijl de gitaar op dat moment in de hoek stond. Niks bijzonders mee gedaan, behalve op gespeeld. Normaal gespannen 440Hz toonhoogte D.

Setje installeren ging supersnel met een end-ball aan elke snaar zodat 'glijden' aan de brugkant verleden tijd is. Verder is de klank gewoon goed. Bestellen en bezorgen verliep zoals gewoonlijk snel en correct.
