The only thing as special as a vintage guitar is a vintage amplifier. Sadly enough, most original amps from the fifties haven't been able to stand the test of time. Fortunately, however, Fender has developed this '57 Custom Deluxe amp that's completely hand-wired. The result is an amp that was built according to the original blueprint, but boasting all the advantages of a brand new piece of equipment. To complete the vintage look, it's finished in lacquered tweed and comes with a matching yellow-beige protective cover.

Fender '57 Custom Deluxe: a real tube amp

The original all-tube 5E3 circuitry in the Custom Deluxe guarantees early overdrive. It all starts in the preamp, which houses a 12AY7 and a 12AX7 tube, which have been around for decades and are known to produce a warm, authentic, full sound. Two 6V6 tubes in the power amp are responsible for a slightly darker tone that still possesses a good amount of brightness with a subtle attack. Additionally, this amp is equipped with a 5Y3 rectifier tube which ensures the authentic, quick response you can expect from a genuine tweed amp.

Simple design, big sound

The '57 Custom Deluxe is a straightforward piece of equipment that features two channels (instrument and instr/mic), each of which with their own volume control and a shared tone knob. Adjusting your sound is a matter of plugging in your guitar using one of the four available inputs that sound virtually identical, then turning the volume up all the way.
