The Fender Blues Junior III is part of the popular Hot Rod series tube amplifiers. This compact but powerful no-nonsense combo can be found in many studios and on both large and small stages. It is very affordable, portable, considerably loud for its moderate size and equipped with simple but highly usable features. Its 12-inch Eminence speaker emits that unmistakeable, classic Fender sound. In addition, this singlechannel tube amp performs brilliantly with optional stomp box effects. The Fender Blues Junior III is the third generation since 1995 and is now better than ever before.

The Fender Blues Junior III's features

The Fender Blues Junior III has 15 watts of true tube power and is known for its warm tone and rich mids, which it owes to the three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a couple of EL84 tubes. This straightforward tube combo has just one channel, so adjusting your sound is remarkably easy. There's a (preamp) volume, 3-band EQ and a master volume at your disposal. Turn the preamp volume down and the master up to create those legendary full and clear Fender cleans. Turn the preamp volume up and the master volume down to create a deliciously creamy distortion. Enable the 'Fat boost' for a fatter and rougher edge, either with or without a foot switch. Lastly, you can add a little genuine reverb for a more spacious effect.

New, third-generation upgrades

Fender have equipped the Blues Junior III with some solid upgrades: the chrome control panel has been replaced by a more easily legible, non-reflective black version and the red light has been replaced by a more fancy vintage-style 'jewel bulb'. The amplifier also has a new badge, durable and rugged chicken head knobs and a classic Fender dog bone handle. Most importantly, however, is the new, specially designed Eminence lightning bolt speaker that has a rich and complex harmonic tone with an excellent balance across the entire frequency range. A new sparkle circuit modification adds those crystal clear Fender cleans and thanks to rattlereducing shock absorbers, your tubes are not only more quiet, but also better protected during transport.
