Koch Twintone III Combo Guitar Amplifier

General

The Twintone III Combo is a powerful, highly versatile all-tube combo by the renowned Koch company. The MKIII has a slightly larger housing than its predecessors, which - while retaining a defined, open sound - results in more depth and warmth for the low frequencies. Its two EL34 power amp valves send 50 Watts of warm, crystal-clear cleans and a richer-than-ever distortion to the 12-inch speaker.

Switching with the Twintone III

Each of the two channels of the Koch Twintone III has its own volume/gain control and 3-band EQ. With the included 4-button foot switch you can effortlessly change channels, engage medium or high boost, switch on the built-in long-scale reverb or effects loop, and switch between rhythm and lead volume. The last two volume settings can be accurately adjusted on the amplifier, just like the Presence (which is now moved to the master section).

Inputs and Outputs

Naturally, the elaborately outfitted Twintone features some essential extras. There's a second guitar input, for instance, which is specially made to handle high-output pickups such as humbuckers without overdriving the input stage and to compensate for loss of clarity. Additionally, this all-tube guitar amplifier features a record output with improved speaker emulation and a trio of speaker outputs that allow you to connect 16-Ohm (1 or 2), 8-Ohm (1 or 2) or 4-Ohm cabinets.
