General

Tailored to support electric guitarists, acoustic string-strummers and even bassists, the Peavey Vypyr X1 is a seriously flexible practice amplifier loaded with modelling capabilities and a fat stack of effects. You're treated to a total of 36 selectable amps, six of which are acoustic amps and another six of which are electric bass amps. As if that wasn't enough, this Peavey combo also sets you up with twenty stompbox-style effects and a global delay and reverb with tap tempo support, giving you ample ways to sculpt your new signature sound.

The Vypyr X1: Intuitive Controls & Built-In Looper

Since there's usually no time to waste, Peavey have opted for a clean 'What You See Is What You Get' control layout. In addition, you're getting a built-in 30-second looper that can be optionally controlled via a Sanpera I or Sanpera II footswitch, plus sixteen user preset slots for storing your favourite sounds, which is a welcome perk given the fact that you're free to run up to four effects at the same time. Also, just like the other Vyper X models, the X1 boasts Peavey's patented analogue TransTube technology which grants access to authentic distortion.

Connection Options

The Peavey Vypyr X1 has been finished with various inputs and outputs, including an AUX input that enables you to play along with backing tracks and your favourite bands; an ever-important headphone jack for playing in silence; and a USB 3.0 port so you can connect the amp to your laptop or computer and record your guitar parts using Peavey's editor software.

Voor erbij, om mee te slepen, wanneer ik geen zin heb de Boss katana2-100 te verplaatsen die best zwaar is (klein mensch hier). Het is een klein ampje met een bruut geluid, teveel voor een slaapkamer dus je hoeft niet persé naar een 50-100W of een duurdere. Het was eigenlijk door Ola Englund's video (BEST METAL BEGINNER AMP AGAIN?) dat ik dacht: die is perfect voor meenemen.
Aanzetten en gaan. Geen zin er voetknoppen bij te bestellen, hij is echt goed zoals hij is. Wil je brutaal en hard genoeg, plus relatief goedkoop voor het metal geluid en de vele (simpele) instellingen die hij heeft, deze is prima. Alleen met electrische gitaren gebruikt, de amp versies en de octaver en een fuzz pedaaltje voor wat doom. Er zitten nog een paar andere geluiden in waar je mee kunt spelen.
