General

VOX's Adio Air GT is an innovative, compact and lightweight modelling guitar amplifier. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker as well as an external audio interface. It's equipped with two 3-inch speakers that produce a total output of 50 Watts when powered with the included 19V DC adapter. You can also choose to power the Adio Air GT with eight AA batteries, but the output will be reduced to a total of 5 Watts. Bluetooth works by means of A2DP Sink when using the adapter, and a lower-energy MIDI version is used when the amp is running on batteries.

Adio Air: Design and Features

The Adio Air GT has a stylish, robust housing that is designed to deliver a clear and powerful sound that belies its size. The bass reflex structure ensures excellent sound density and a sense of space and depth you normally only get from stereo speakers. Pushing the Wide Stereo Effect button increases this effect even more. The modelling technology on board gives you a choice of 11 different amplifiers and 8 effects. You can use the included Tone Room software to expand this to 23 amps and 19 effects in total.

Sounds and Effects

Some of the most popular British and American amplifiers can be found on board the Adio Air, and the built-in effects are divided into two different sections. FX1 includes modulation effects like chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo, while FX2 has delay and reverb effects including analogue delay, wide delay, spring and hall. Once you've dialled in your perfect sound, you can save it to one of the eight user programs. The built-in tuner and tap function for FX2 share a single control. Via the USB output, you can connect the Adio Air GT to a computer with Windows, Mac OS X or an iOS or Android device and use the Tone Room editor software with all of them.
