General

VOX's Adio Air BS is an innovative, compact and lightweight modelling bass amplifier. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker as well as an external audio interface. It's equipped with two 3-inch speakers that produce a total output of 50 watts when powered by the included 19V DC adapter. You can also choose to power the Adio Air BS with eight AA batteries, but the output will be reduced to a total of 5 watts. Bluetooth works by means of A2DP Sink when using the adapter, and a lower-energy MIDI version is used when the amp is running on batteries.

Adio Air: design and features

The Adio Air BS has a stylish housing that is robust and designed to deliver a clear and powerful sound that belies its size. The bass reflex structure ensures excellent sound density and a sense of space and depth you normally only get from stereo speakers. Pushing the Wide Stereo Effect button increases this effect even more. The modelling technology on board gives you a choice of 11 different amplifiers and 8 effects. You can use the included Tone Room software to expand this to 17 amps and 11 effects in total.

Sounds and effects

Some of the most popular bass guitar amplifiers can be found on board and the built-in effects are divided into two different sections. Effects 1 includes a compressor, autowah, fuzz and chorus, while effects 2 has delay and reverb effects including analogue delay, wide delay, spring and hall. Once you've dialled in your perfect sound, you can save it to one of the eight user programs. The built-in tuner and tap function for effects 2 share a single control. Via the USB output you can connect the Adio Air BS to a computer with Windows, Mac OS X or an iOS or Android device and use the Tone Room editor software with all of them.

De Vox Adio Air BS aangeschaft om overal en altijd versterkt geluid bij de hand te hebben. De Adio biedt een behoorlijk volume en veel mogelijkheden waarmee je lekker kan experimenteren.
Als bluetooth receiver kan je lekker meespelen met je favoriete nummers. Met de koptelefoon erbij stoor je verder niemand wat dan weer door anderen zeer gewaardeerd zal worden :)
De Adio weegt nauwelijks wat dus ook leuk om op vakantie mee te nemen.
Wel jammer dat er geen lijn uitgang beschikbaar is zodat de Adio niet aan de PA te koppelen is.
Samengevat: een echt leuk hebbeding!

Veelzijdig apparaat met een verrassend geluid. Ideale oefenversterker voor thuis maar in een bescheiden opstelling in een repetitieruimte zal hij ook voldoen. Heel bijzonder om die lage frequenties uit twee 3 inch speakers te horen komen.
Bruikbare amp modellen en effecten. KORG is hierbij betrokken geweest.
En met zijn 2x25 watt is het ook een Bluetooth receiver die opvalt.. Super licht in gewicht maar de mooie materiaalkeuze en afwerking doet anders vermoeden.

Innovation is still clearly a keyword at legendary musical equipment company VOX. Their GT and BS modelling amplifiers from the new Adio Air series can both be used as a Bluetooth speaker and an external audio interface, for instance. Quality remains paramount too, of course, as the improved AC2 Rhythm VOX mini amplifiers for guitar and bass guitar prove.
