The affordable Peavey Vypyr VIP 3 (100 watts, 1x 12" speaker) is superior to just about any other guitar amp in its price class. Not only does it spew out an impressive 100 watts of power, it delivers an array of sounds thanks to its modelling technology. Another added bonus is that you can hook up your acoustic guitar or bass if you want! Simply select the right instrument, and the Vypyr VIP will give you the best audio settings in a flash.
Amplifier, stomp box and instrument modelling
Plug in your guitar and go crazy with the 36 different guitar amps, 6 bass guitar amps and 6 acoustic amps that are available; the tube types sound particularly convincing as a result of the patented TransTube technology. You also have a number of channels available per type at your disposal. With a flick of the wrist, you can set up stomp box effects or turn your guitar into an acoustic, a 7 or 12-string, a mandolin, or even a baritone, resonator, violin or bass!
Everything you could possibly need
Practically everything you could possibly want in an amp is available in the Vypyr VIP 3. It has a chromatic tuner, a looper (driven by the optionally available Sanpera), a tap-tempo function and a headphone output. Hook up an external audio source using the mini jack input, and a USB port makes it possible to use the VIP as an audio interface so you can record files on your computer. Any way you look at it, it's a practical modelling amp for use at home or on stage!

Not sure I gained anything over the cheaper VIP 2.

Als je als hobby gitarist met een drukke baan af en toe snel wat riffs wil spelen is een wat eenvoudiger in te regelen amp misschien handiger.
Pluspunten zeer goed geluid, eindeloos veel amp en effect variaties ,zeer degelijke, relatief compact en licht,ziet er mooi en modern uit.
Het vergt veel tijd geduld en experimenteren om de juiste sound te vinden,
