General
Kit out your guitar rig with extreme, high-quality compression courtesy of the Jackson Audio Hour Glass Dual Studio Compressor pedal: a sublime choice if you want nothing less than sublime playability and lashings of sustain. This stompbox houses two independent analogue OTA circuits that operate in parallel, so you gain legendary Ross-inspired compression that's not only the perfect partner for single-coils, but can just as easily be teamed up with humbuckers. To boost the sustain, simply engage both compressors at the same time.
The Jackson Audio Hour Glass: The Last Word in Compression
It almost goes without saying that this pedal puts your playing dynamics on full display, but the real magic happens when you start digging into the controls. Both compressors feature three different attack modes (medium, fast and slow) and a three-way treble switch, so the higher frequencies can be set to flat, medium or high boost as preferred. The Hour Glass can run on a standard 9 Volt power supply but, when you use a compatible 18 Volt power supply, you get to enjoy masses of extra headroom alongside tight and focussed, supreme guitar sound.
