General
Ultra-unique, the Universal Audio MAX Preamp & Dual Compressor comes equipped with three classic UA compressor/limiters: the Teletronix LA-2A, the UA 1176 and the Dyna Comp, setting up guitarists with a highly progressive, one-stop solve. Yes, this magic box comes filled with three studio compressors, but what makes it extra-special is that those three compressors can be stacked in any order you want! This means that a specific compressor can be engaged or combined to support every specific sound that you're looking for, and each compressor comes with its own speed and character. The US 1176 is a FET compressor - the same one that injected its punchy flavour into almost every hit record going, while the slower LA-2A is the perfect sustain-lengthener whether you're working with a guitar or bass, and the Dyna Comp is exactly what's needed for that sweet, 'edge-of-breakup' response.
