The Electro voice RE 410 is a handheld condenser microphone specially designed for vocalists. It's flexible and has a smooth frequency response that makes it suited for almost any sound source. The RE 410 is the ideal mic if you're looking for brilliant trebles and a warm proximity effect in the form of a top-class condenser microphone. It has a light boost between 5 and 10 kHz to offer great clarity and definition without getting shrill.
Cardioid polar pattern
The cardioid polar pattern of the RE 410 works to block out sound coming in at the back of the microphone. Moreover, it ensures that the sound coming from the sides of the mic have a smooth response, which is perfect for singers who move around the microphone a lot. Because this condenser microphone is directional, there's also no issue with the proximity effect (which is when the bass tones become more emphatic the closer you are to the mic), so you can enjoy a warm, deep low end. The output signal also becomes stronger when the sound source is closer to the mic, which makes this microphone less sensitive to feedback, and thus ideal for use on stage.
