General

The WS-CR215S is an outstanding entry-level cornet for the young and young at heart. It is, indeed, an entry-level Bb cornet, but don't let that fool you! It has everything you need - it even comes with a mouthpiece and a case.

WS-CR215S Bb Cornet

Beginner brass players will be able to enjoy this cornet for years. It features a saddle on the first slide, as well as a slide ring on the third slide so you can get those beautiful high notes in perfect tune. Furthermore, you'll find a waterkey with a cork on the tuning slide so you can get rid of any built-up moisture for the best possible sound. With a 125mm bell and a 11.5mm bore, this cornet is an excellent choice for beginners, seeing as a smaller bore makes it easier for beginners to produce stable notes. The cornet also features a Shepherd's Crook, which refers to the traditional way the bore goes toward the bell Cornets with a Shepherd's Crook are quite common in British-style brass bands. Stagg offers this instrument complete with a mouthpiece and a case, so the only thing you need to do is sign up for lessons or join a music collective and then practice, practice, practice! Later on, once you've got a few years of playing under your belt, you can invest in a more expensive model with a larger bore.
