Latin Percussion was surely inspired by the instruments made in shantytowns of South America when they came up with the RAW Potz. In the poorest countries in the world, instruments are made of anything people can find, including buckets, pots, and pans. The RAW Potz looks like a metal lid turned upside-down but it's been developed with some serious ingenuity. It's made of two components—a metal tube that has been cut to the right length and a metal lid welded to it as the drum 'head'. The weld seam is what gives this virtually indestructible instrument its outstanding sound projection.
At 6 inches in diameter, this LP RAW Potz is the medium-sized version of this unique, innovative metal percussion instrument. Its sound is comparable to a cowbell, but has a lighter sound character. Potz is ideal for playing fast rhythmic patterns with your hands, sticks, rods, or brushes.
Latin Percussion's RAW Potz is the perfect addition to any drum kit or percussion setup, and has a mounting eyelet that's suitable for 3/8 and 1/2-inch rods.
