Paiste PST8 Reflector Rock cymbals
The carefully crafted PST8 Reflector cymbals offer unadulterated Swiss artisanship at a remarkably pleasant price. It's a line of high-quality cymbals made of the famous CuSn8 bronze (or 2002 bronze/B8 bronze), suited especially well for advanced players. The final hammering and the unique Reflector finish are applied by hand. The PST8 series caters to all genres and volumes, but these rock cymbals are naturally geared a bit more towards the heavier side of the musical spectrum.

Sinds mijn 15de ben ik al fan van Paiste, geïnspireerd door drummers als Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Rick Allen (Def Leppard) en Lars Ulrich (Metallica).
Het geluid is gewoon super. Vol, luid genoeg en snijd lekker door de muziek heen als wij onze pop/ rock cover nummers spelen. De attack is heerlijk hard en de sustain lang en scherp. Voor 123 euro heb je een goede stevige bekken die ook nog eens heel goed klinkt.

Kortom, Paiste doet 't hem weer: een bekken op budget (ook mooi van BAX: ik vond hem nergens zo goedkoop als hier) met de kwaliteit die je zou verwachten van een veel duurdere variant.

De crash is echt wat hij belooft te zijn. Hij heeft een mooie heldere klank die lang blijft hangen. De crash is niet snel verzadigd en kan om met verschillende stokken (bv paukenstokken, brushes, ...) De crash voelt bovendien zeer stevig aan, waardoor je geen schrik moet hebben om hem kapot te slaan.
Een goede koop dus.
