Zildjian, the oldest music company in the world, recently celebrated their 390th birthday. To honour their legacy, they've come out with six new cymbal sets, including the Zildjian ZHT 390 box set. The renowned Zildjian chose three tradition-finish cymbals from the ZHT series for the set: a 14-inch hi-hat, a powerful 17-inch crash, a 20-inch ride and an explosive-sounding china cymbal.
The material and sound of the ZHT 390
The ZHT cymbals are all made with B12 alloy, which consists of 88% copper and 12% tin. This delivers a bright, melodic sound that works with many different music styles. The hi-hat features a hammered Mastersound edge and produces a quickl, lively and clear sound, while the crash and ride produce a clean, defined sound.
