Ableton Live 9 Standard sets itself apart from most software sequencers because it focuses on high-level composition, meaning that you combine audio and MIDI clips on a timeline to create a piece of music. Not only is this workflow intuitive, but it’s also a very fast way to create full compositions. Audio and MIDI clips are automatically synced to your projects and can be edited and triggered in real time with the use of a controller. The software package

The Standard edition comes with 11 GB worth of samples and loops that cover a variety of genres. The package also comes with a number of fantastic virtual instruments and audio effects. You can automate your parameters in your projects as well, which allows you to adjust the filter positions. This can be done with a mouse, of course, but works most quickly and optimally with an Ableton controller.
