Live 9 Suite Education EDU German: workflow
Most software sequencers use a workflow that relies on traditional music notation. Ableton Live, on the other hand, focuses on high-level composition. That means that you can combine a variety of audio or MIDI clips and place them on a timeline in no time. One of the most interesting things about this method is how fast and intuitive it is to create high-quality compositions. Because each element can be edited or triggered in real time via a controller, Ableton is not only a great asset in the studio, but for live applications as well.
Plethora of possibilities
Live 9 Suite consists of an enormous collection of virtual instrument sounds (55 GB), nine virtual instruments and 40 effects. Thanks to the new sound browser you can quickly and easily find the sound or instrument you’re looking for. You’ll find that the brilliant Max for Live package has also been integrated in the Suite version. Max for Live is a modular program that you can use to create your own virtual instruments and effects, and it also allows you to adjust pre-programmed instruments to suit your needs. Max for Live comes with a Convolution Reverb, Mono Sequencer, Buffer Shuffler 2, Drum Synth, LFO, envelope follower, XY Pad, Multimap, Device Randomizer and a number of MIDI tools.
