Ableton Live 9 Suite upgrade from Live Lite OEM (download)

General

There’s a good chance that you may have received your version of Ableton Live Lite OEM with the purchase of another product. It’s a great program for getting started, but it could certainly be more extensive. If that sounds like something you’re interested in, the Ableton Live 9 Suite upgrade from Live Lite OEM (download) is the perfect way to upgrade to the biggest, best version of Ableton. This package allows you to make small clips with unique sounds and then organise those clips on a grid so you can turn them on and off in a live setting. Such a process makes it easy to create tension in your live mixes, and that becomes even easier if you have an Ableton controller.

New functions in Ableton Live 9 Suite

Just the specifications alone let you know that you’re getting a massive upgrade, especially considering the rather limited nature of the capacity and options in Live Lite OEM. With the Suite version you’ll be finding fun new little gems for months thanks to 54 GB of sound material. You also get nine types of virtual instruments, 40 effects, and unlimited MIDI and audio tracks (the only limit is the capacity of your computer). Max for Live is also included, which is an expansive modular system that you can use to build your own effects. The new audio-to-MIDI plugin is another great feature that converts your audio files to MIDI notation, which is ideal if you want to translate your music or vocals to MIDI data. You could also connect a virtual instrument to it if you wanted – the possibilities are quite extensive.

Who is this software for?

Because of the nature of this software you’ll find it being used by many producers in the electro genres, such as house, dance, trance and dub-step. The option to connect an Ableton controller to the software has also helped to increase its popularity, as it makes live composing easier and more visually appealing. Of course, Ableton isn’t exclusively for electro, and at the end of the day the only limits are the ones artists place on themselves. So whether you’re into electro or classical, you’re going to find what you need in this collection. Ableton is the key to unlocking your musical creativity and translating it into a format for live performances.
