General

The neat and uber-complete IK Multimedia Z-TONE DI DI-box offers a mass of extensive sound options via a clear and simple set of controls. Using the front-fitted pair of mini-switches yo can specify whether the pickups of your guitar or bass are passive of active, then use the channel switch to either retain your pure, unfettered signal, or warm it up with a sweet JFET-edge. Sitting between the two switches, you'll find a very interesting Z-Tone control pot which essentially dials in the impedance, meaning it can be manipulated to actively shape your sound. At higher settings, this humble control pot is able to tighten up the tone and enhance the definition, and by pushing it back down, you can thicken everything up and give it more power. Now that the IK Multimedia Z-TONE DI DI-box comes with a copy of AmpliTube 5 thrown in, you're essentially offered an entirely new rig to play with.
