IK Multimedia have done it again and serve up the Uno Synth Pro X: a far-reaching synthesizer that packs bags of sound-shaping potential. Loaded with three oscillators, this relatively small chunk of gear is perfect for taking on specific tasks, like creating bass lines or screaming leads, so don't expect chords or bread-and-butter sounds.

So what can you expect? As said, the paraphonic Uno Synth Pro X features three oscillators that support PWM, FM, sync and ring modulation. In addition, you're looking at three envelopes with loop and re-trigger functionality, a pair of LFOs and, of course, a filter (LPF, HPF, 12 dB, 24 dB). Putting more than one cherry on top, IK Multimedia have even built in three effects slots, an arpeggiator and a 64-step sequencer.

The Uno Synth PRO X also comes with built-in analogue overdrive, so if you're looking to shape far-out sounds, this synth is a great choice. The fitted CV/gate inputs and outputs support Eurorack modules, while the 16-slot modulation matrix and audio input bring extensive routing options to the table. There's even editor software available, and you get intuitive controls plus 256 user preset slots. The whole thing also weighs just 800 grams, so lugging it around shouldn't be a problem either.

Wat kan ik zeggen, een zeer onderschatte synth met een eigen karakter. Drie analoge oscillatoren, dubbel analoog filter, dikke drive, prima effecten en step sequencer met uitgebreide step-features... Ik krijg hier in no time geluiden uit die ik met wat anders niet zo snel voor elkaar zou krijgen. Ik was op zoek naar een aanvullende bass synth, maar dit ding kan heel wat meer. Zeer tevreden mee!

Topper de Top, zoveel synth, discreet analoog! 3 vco's het moet niet gekker worden. Dan nog de computer editor via usb.. Dit ding is synth van het jaar 2023/2024.

Ik gebruikt 25 jaar synths. Dit is een topper!
