General
The outstanding sound quality it delivers and the calibre of the integrated compression and low-cut filter make the Radial HDI a way more than capable studio DI. The thoroughly washed Jensen transformer sounds pure and transparent until you start to turn the Color knob. This enriches the overtones necessary to breathe full like into the connected instrument while sharp transients are kept under control by the built-in opto-compressor. The Radial HDI is undoubtedly the unsung hero of the studio but serves just as well as part of stage rigs.
