Hohner Special 20 B harmonica

The Special 20 Classic series by Hohner has received much praise over the years, by both beginners and professionals. Many famous artists have played instruments from this series, such as the legendary Bob Dylan, for instance. This harmonicas distinctly warm and powerful sound has been prevalent in many genres, ranging from blues, rock and soul to country, folk and jazz. Unique properties of this series are its excellent response and the beautiful tone bends it can produce, partly thanks to the durable and airtight plastic comb. Harmonicas are available in different keys, this one being tuned to B. As B is not the most commonly used key, that could mean that it may be hard to use it in a band setting.

Hohner Special B: materials

Of course, this harmonica consists of a number of different parts; these parts being the comb, the mouthpiece, the reeds and the covers. Hohner harmonicas are made with the greatest care, using only the best materials. Every harmonica is checked for quality and sound multiple times by one of Hohner's people. For enhanced comfort, the comb and mouthpiece are made of plastic. The covers are made of stainless steel and the reeds and reed plate are made of brass.
