General
Designed for beginners as well as experienced pianists, the Alesis Concert digital piano offers the natural feel of 88 semi-weighted keys with adjustable sensitivity and comes loaded with 10 hyper-realistic sounds, including an Acoustic Piano, Bright Piano, Electric Piano, Harpsichord, Drawbar Organ, Church Organ, Synth, Strings, Bass and Clavichord. In Layer Mode, two sounds can be combined for a rich total sound, and in Split mode, the keyboard is split down the middle, so one sound can be played with the right hand, and a different sound can be played with the left. To add texture, a reverb and chorus effect comes built in, and all of it can be enjoyed via the integrated 20 Watt speaker system, or a set of headphones which, when connected, automatically mute the speakers. A sustain pedal can also be hooked up for full expression, and RCA outputs have also been fitted for direct connection to a mixer, audio interface, or sound system.
Far-Reaching Education Functions
To aid learning, rehearsing, and performances, the Concert offers a host of powerful and effective functions. In Lesson Mode, the keyboard is split into two sides of the same key, making it the ideal tool for teachers to play along with and guide their students, or for rehearsing or playing a duet with a partner. Educational software can be used alongside this comprehensive instrument by connecting to a computer via the USB/MIDI output. This also grants access to virtual instruments loaded from high-quality sample libraries that can then be played using the keyboard, and for more mobile use, the Concert can be powered by six D-type batteries.
