Casio Privia PX-870BK Digital Piano (Black)

The black Casio PX-870BK digital piano is the flagship of the brand's successful Privia series. It's basically the improved version of the PX-860BK, which now features enhanced samples thanks to Casio's own AiR Sound Source module. It offers a 4-layer stereo piano sound and functions such as String Resonance, Key Off Simulator, Lid Simulator (the difference in sound when the lid is open) and a Hall Simulator. A handy addition to this piano is its integrated audio recorder, which makes it possible to record up to 99 songs in WAV format onto a USB stick, or playback files, also via USB. This piano comes complete with a frame and three pedals.

High-quality sounds

One of the main advantages of a digital piano is that you can load in various samples to play with. The PX-870 features 19 sounds and the option to combine them using the layer and split functions. Because it has a relatively high polyphony of 256 voices, this piano can produce a top-notch sound that sounds just like the real thing. In Concert Play mode, you can practice your solo skills by playing along with ten different classical pieces performed by a symphony orchestra. The built-in sound system amplifies the sound in different directions just like an acoustic upright would and the Headphone Mode produces an adjusted audio reproduction of the human auditive response for a truly authentic listening experience.

Authentic feel of play

Not only does the PX-870 look like an acoustic piano, it sounds and feels like one too! The keyboard has 88 Hammer Action keys with a special weight distribution that goes from low to high. On each key, there's either an ivory or an ebony surface structure to simulate the feel of an authentic piano as well as precise sensors that pick up the most subtle details in your performance so you can play with dynamics and expression.
