General

The Korg G1 air has captured the sounds of not one, not two, but three grand pianos. This single, compact, upright-style model digital piano is capable of reproducing the world-famous sound of a German grand, the classic sound of an Austrian grand and the modern dynamics of a Japanese grand. Each sound can be adjusted to preference or depending on the tuning required or the song you're playing, and each of the 88 hammer-action keys in the RH-3 keyboard can be set to one of five sensitivities. The contemporary design of the G1 Air comes housed in a classic looking upright-style stand with a slight 29cm width for easy positioning and is fitted with three natural-feeling pedals with half-pedal functionality. This version of the G1B Air BK is finished in white.

Realistic Sound

To faithfully recreate the sound of an actual acoustic piano, the G1 Air reacts to playing dynamics with minute precision and speed and adjusts accordingly, giving you everything you would expect when playing an acoustic piano, from dampening and string resonance to Key Off simulation. The technology driving the 4-way sound system has been refreshed and the frequency distribution has improved to such a point that you may find yourself fooled, even briefly, into thinking you're sitting at a genuine upright piano. In addition to the grand pianos, 32 further sounds have been loaded in, including electric pianos, organs, strings and even an acoustic guitar.

Bluetooth

So you can play along to music streamed from an external Bluetooth device, the G1 is even Bluetooth capable and, since the sound quality is that good, this piano may even double up as a good-looking wireless sound system. Other connection options include a line output, MIDI IN/OUT and two headphone sockets while further functions include Partner mode; allowing two people to play together in the same register, Layer mode which allows two different sounds to be played at the same time and Split mode that lets you play a different sound with each hand.
