Yamaha Clavinova CVP-709GP PE Polished Ebony digital piano

General

A grand piano has a certain appeal - besides offering a gorgeous sound, it’s also kind of a status symbol. It’s a sizeable investment that needs some careful thought, but once you’ve made your choice, you won’t likely regret it! Nowadays, a digital grand piano is a great alternative to a real one, especially if it’s as good as the Yamaha Clavinova CVP-709GP PE in Polished Ebony. This instrument has a gorgeous, rich piano sound - which is just one of its 600 sounds. It also has preset backing styles to accompany your playing, and of course Yamaha made sure these arrangements live up to the highest standards.

CVP-709GP PE: top of the range

This Clavinova may have an almost classical look (which makes sense, as that is the case for virtually all grand pianos), under the bonnet, it’s a highly modern device. Besides offering a wealth of knobs and buttons, the large colour display is the real eye-catcher. This touch-sensitive display allows you to cycle through the piano’s many features, and it makes controlling the CVP-709 an absolute breeze. Furthermore, playing this Yamaha piano is also a very pleasant experience, as it feels just like playing an acoustic piano. The CVP sounds great with headphones on, but it’s also fitted with a number of speakers that offer excellent sound quality, allowing you to enjoy playing it even more.

Piano Room and USB

A particularly inspiring feature of the CVP-700 series' pianos is the Piano Room. This is home to not only top-quality grand piano sounds, but also to various classic electric pianos, as well as the Session Mode. The latter mode has three virtual musicians standing by to accompany you 'live' in one of forty available styles. Besides your harmonies, they also follow your volume and intensity, thanks to the Dynamics Control feature. Do you want to record your playing? No problem! Connect a USB stick, and everything will be stored in WAV file format. You can also play back WAV files, and even adjust their tempo and pitch.
