A DMX switch pack is ideal if you want to use your light controller to turn specific parts of your equipment on and off. Examples of such equipment are sound-controlled light effects or certain effect machines that do not have a DMX function. Also, you want to be able to turn these on and off without having to use a lot of power cables. Most DMX switch packs have four connectors with four DMX channels. You can operate a DMX switch pack with a DMX controller or DMX software. Should a channel get above 50% of intensity, that channel gets switched on. With a switch pack you can also switch spots on/off. Do you want to control their intensity (0-100%)? You will need a DMX dimmer pack for that.
