General
Boss's Mega Distortion takes the heavy, low distortion sounds of new-school metal and drives them right to the edge. The MD-2's secret is a two-step distortion circuit with an extra gain boost.
Sound characteristics of the MD-2
The Mega Distortion's gain boost produces an incredible amount of distortion and sustain, regardless of the volume level you're playing at. A Bottom knob allows you to adjust the distortion to your six or seven-string guitars, and a Tone knob determines the balance between the high and the low frequencies.
