As such, this compact, board-friendly stompbox is not only a perfectly subtle stand-alone drive pedal but it can also be deployed as a tube-amp booster whenever you need a little extra oomph. Any self-respecting rock guitarist should have a pedal like this one as part of their sonic arsenal, regardless of whether they're leaning towards blues or classic rock.
